This week has been C-R-A-Z-Y. So many things have happened - so many new things that have either amazed me or made me kind of sad.
1) Violet & Avy both moved up to the next car seat. Violet went into Avy's old one and Avy moved into a glorified booster. But let me tell you what made me cry at the checkout: Avy wears a seatbelt now. A real car seat belt. (long pause) Sigh.
2) Violet started saying two new words just yesterday: "banana" and "uh-oh." hearing a baby say "uh-oh" can make your ovaries explode (if you have ovaries). Beware. Here's a picture of her saying "banana."
4) Avy has grown up so much this summer. She has blossomed. She has gone from toddler to girl in just a few months. The tantrums have stopped (well, almost entirely), she sleeps in a twin bed, she uses the toilet even at night, and she can tell me how she's feeling with words instead of crying. She and I went on a mommy/Avy date day to Sesame Place and it was one of the best days of my life. Not because of the location, just because it was just her & just me. The whole day to do whatever we wanted together with no distractions. It was amazing. She is truly amazing. Here is her staring at the REAL roller coaster that we went on 4 times immediately after this picture was taken. That's my girl.
