Shower #2! -- Saturday, March 3, 2007

Last Saturday I had my second shower, thrown by my mom and her friend, Susan. This shower was for all the "moms" in my life. I got lots of practical things, and also some partially-practical things that were AMAZING! There aren't as many pictures from this shower as the last one (and I look washed out in all of them ... and I look like a pregnant elephant in all of them), but there are some cute ones that you should see. I have more things to write about (Rebecca Allen gave me a great topic to write about next: my trippy dreams!), so more to come very soon. Until then, I am headed to Florida (it's Spring Break!) for a missions conference at my grandparents' church -- one of my biggest supporters & cheerleaders in my ministry -- and also to get a little R & R before I lose my grasp on that whole concept for about 30 years. :o) Talk to you all in about a week!

My first baby shower: Saturday, February 24, 2007

Last Saturday was my first baby shower ever! It was even more fun than my bridal shower, only because everything was miniature and for someone much cooler than me.

It's always amazing to have so many of your friends in one room together. (I, of course, couldn't sleep at all the night before because I was too excited.) People gave such original gifts, it was amazing! We loved everything so much. It was a really great day for baby & me. She slept through the entire thing, though, then woke up the minute everyone left. I couldn't believe it. The next day Allen and I put everything away in her AWESOME room (I built all the furniture on Friday, thank you very much!), and got everything organized. Her room is so great. Allen & I spent almost all of Sunday in there just getting super excited. :o) I've never seen Allen so excited before. He almost combusted.
